  1. My Laxin Brother

    December 16, 2013 by hopev227

Last weekend my older brother, Stephen (aka Stevo), had the Longhorn Shootout Lacrosse Tournoment. My brother is the Varsity Lacrosse goalie for Lake Travis High School and sometimes fills in for the JV goalie. During the Anderson game my brother kept getting shot on and shot on and making save after save. Wheil getting shot on he kept calm and just kept playing his heart out. Stevo just kept playing on when pretty much non of his team mates where helping him. From this Stevo taught me that you just has to keep your head up and keep going even when it gets hard. In life it’s going to get hard. Life isn’t about those hard times, it’s about rising up from those hard times. After the game all of the boys on my brothers team where patting him on the helmet and saying “Good game Stevo!” My brother has taught me to just keep going in life even when life get hard. I Love You, Stevo!!! <3 20131217-203228.jpg

Today’s society tells girls that we half to be “perfect” in order to be pretty. But this “perfect” is a lie. “Perfect” is having a tiny waste, and being overall skinny, not eating fast food/junk food, having a flawless face, being a certain height, and so on and so forth. But society’s… WRONG! Society just screws with the head and doesn’t care how many people’s lives it effects. Society wants us to judge ourselves and be unhappy. But stop letting society rule your life. Just because everyone at school is wearing a certain color doesn’t mean you half to. Stand out. That’s what society is scared of. Society’s scared of people who are comfortable in their own skin, who are true to them selves, and don’t care about society’s opinions. Be yourself because you where born to stand out not fit in! If you break free from society you’ll be a happier person, I swear it.
